Heading out....we had another 50 mile run ahead of us to Cape
Eleuthera.
2/4/2004 8:22:52 AM

It was pretty rare that we saw another boat.
2/4/2004 8:43:58 AM

It was a bit rough in the Sound today (Wednesday)
2/4/2004 9:06:38 AM

Leaving Dothan Cut.....I didn't take any pics going through it as it
was too rough. I was just holding on. I actually put my
lifejacket on going through there.
2/4/2004 9:08:54 AM

Jeff raising the main.
2/4/2004 9:21:50 AM

The helm station.
2/4/2004 9:22:10 AM

Still raising the sails.
2/4/2004

We must be in deep water...Kristi's asleep. She slept for most of
the trip! :-)
2/4/2004 10:06:38 AM

Escape hatch in the head....first time we saw it underwater.
2/4/2004 12:15:44 PM

View out the cabin port.
2/4/2004 12:19:26 PM

Jeff at the helm.
2/4/2004 12:51:52 PM

Kristi in a rare moment of wakefulness. :-)
2/4/2004 3:08:38 PM

Heading toward a harbour at Cape Eleuthera.
2/4/2004 3:29:36 PM

Sure couldn't see it from water!
2/4/2004 3:29:44 PM

Horizon behind us. Horizon by Steve Winwood was the boat's theme
song.
2/4/2004 3:30:32 PM

Still looking for that entrance...
2/4/2004 3:30:56 PM

Passing Chubb Rock
2/4/2004 3:31:10 PM

Chart says it's there.......and it is!
2/4/2004 3:31:50 PM

The entrance curved sharply left almost immediately, if it hadn't been
for the charts saying it was there we'd never have found it.
2/4/2004 3:33:50 PM

Picking our way in
2/4/2004 3:33:54 PM

Looks almost like a river. Supposedly the marina would collect
fees for anchoring here...no one ever showed.
2/4/2004 3:34:00 PM

Looking back
2/4/2004 3:35:02 PM

There were a lot of birds, including a heron.
2/4/2004 3:35:24 PM

this harbour was dredged for a housing development that never happened.
2/4/2004 3:35:58 PM

Really remided me of a bayou in Florida or something.
2/4/2004 3:37:00 PM

Jeff surveying the anchorage.
Decided it
would be ok with a stern anchor set as well.
2/4/2004 3:37:52 PM

I had an uneasy night here.....somehow I was just not
comfortable. There was something big splashing around and it made
me think of crocodiles.
2/5/2004 9:02:54 AM

Heading out for Governors Harbour Thursday AM, we had about a 30 mile
run ahead of us.
2/5/2004 9:03:16 AM

the exit from Unnamed Harbour
2/5/2004 9:03:22 AM

2/5/2004 9:04:02 AM

Cape Eleuthera Marina...I think it was closed. They never
answered us on the radio.
2/5/2004 9:05:36 AM

Chub Rock
2/5/2004 9:06:12 AM

We certainly never saw any boats there.
2/5/2004 9:14:48 AM

Kristi asleep again
2/5/2004 10:15:44 AM

Changed positions......this was funny cause we were getting seriously
kicked around.
2/5/2004 11:01:48 AM

M/V Seawind high-speed ferry to Nassau.
2/5/2004 1:56:56 PM

Another old tug
2/5/2004 1:57:12 PM

This was an impressive machine
2/5/2004 1:57:46 PM

Wouldn't want to get in it's way.
